JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Responsible  for accurately maintaining the financial records in our Portuguese offices. The financial manager is tasked with a wide variety of activities to support the fiscal well-being of the organization. Strategically thinking, operational and hands on, as Finance and Admin Manager you are also in charge of all non- commercial operational office related matters

 

FUNCTIONS

  1.  Analyse all financial data.
  2.   Monitor all transactions and prepare appropriate reports for same.
  3.   Manage and reconcile all financial projects appropriately.
  4.   Monitor all financial transactions and recommend ways to increase effectiveness of same.
  5.   Develop and maintain a database of records to ensure smooth transaction for all financial processes.
  6.   Periodically reporting to HQ in NL.
  7.   Monitor all expenditure and perform required calculations for same.
  8.   Prepare regular productivity reports and evaluate for completeness and authenticity of information.
  9.   Processing Invoices.
  10.   Monitoring accounts receivable and reporting.
  11.   Responsible of cash flow planning.
  12.   Manage and control legal and insurances matters.
  13.   Handling billing problems and disputes.
  14.   Analysis of analytic cost centres
  15.   Analyse of business margins
  16.   Issue and sent invoices, receipts, CMR’s and packing notes/shipping documents
  17.   Control and registration of shipping documents
  18.   Control of reimbursements and shipping fees
  19.   Insert purchases documents in our financial software (commercial module) and operational software
  20.   Extract and Reconcile clients and suppliers’ our financial software
  21.   Registration in Primavera and ERP solution (to be developed) of all relevant information and documentation referred to clients, debtors, creditors subcontracts, trucks, drivers and daily cargo.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  1.   Incredibly organized and detail-oriented.
  2.   Ability to multi-task.
  3.   Discretely handle sensitive information.
  4.   Prioritize accordingly.
  5.   working knowledge of general payroll.
  6.   Financial and tax regulations is generally preferred.
  7.   BA degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
  8.   5+ years related work experience.
  9.   Outstanding financial and analytical skills.
  10.   Proficient with cash handling.
  11.   Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  12.   Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook and familiar with Primavera (preferential).
  13.   Experience in ERP of Transport and Logistics Industry (preferential).
  14.   Previous experience in invoicing, exportation and expedition.
  15.   Experience in Customs processes (preferential).
  16.   Knowledge about main concepts of Logistics and supply chain areas - Knowledge of Freight and fleet management.
  17.   Team Player, with a strong customer focus and results.
  18.   Strong Resistance ability to stress and daily pressure - Analytical ability, critical and constructive thinking;
  19.   Salary compatible with the required roles and demonstrated experience.

DETAILS

  1.   Location: Ryano Office Oporto, Portugal  
  2.   09h00 to 13h00 and 14h00 to 18h00 (40 hours per week)
